Alona Khaninson

Meet Alona Khaninson, from Novosibirsk, Russia with 20 years teaching experience!

Alona Khaninson | The Dance Connection

Alona began teaching dance over 20 years ago. Prior to that she spent some time dancing professionally, performing lead roles such as Clara in the Nutcracker, Gamzatti in La Bayadere and Cinderella with Ontario Ballet Theatre and the European Ballet in England, UK. For the past 20 years Alona has taught hundreds of students ballet, pointe, partnering and contemporary classes, choreographing competitive and recreational routines for local and national competitons. Her routines have consistently won judges choice awards and choreography awards.

Jordann Baker

Meet Jordann Baker, a dedicated dancer and instructor at the Dance Connection! She's been dancing since the age of six and holds formal college training!

Jordann Baker | The Dance Connection

Jordann began her dance journey as a competitive dancer at the age of six and quickly discovered her passion for performing. She pursued her training at George Brown College, graduating in 2014 with diplomas in Dance Performance Preparation and Commercial Dance Arts.

For the past 10 years, Jordann has been teaching at The Dance Connection and other studios across the GTA, specializing in acro, jazz, and tumbling. She brings a strong technical foundation and a supportive teaching style to every class, helping dancers build strength, flexibility, and confidence while pushing them to reach their full potential. Jordann is passionate about creating a positive and motivating environment where dancers can grow both as performers and individuals.
